IB888 Motherboard From IBASE

Just when you thought that netbook motherboards are extremely small, along comes IBASE with their IB888 motherboard that measures an unbelievable 3.5″ – small enough to fit into a tiny drive bay, if you will. Specially designed to be used in tandem with the low power Intel Atom Poulsboro series processors, it will run between 1.33GHz and 1.6GHz. Memory capacity stops at 2GB with its single RAM SO-DIMM slot, while connectivity options include VGA and DVI video output, eight USB 2.0 ports, a SATA connection and an SD memory card reader. Other features include an integrated Intel GMA500 graphics chipset to get you going. While it won’t be able to handle full High Definition video, we can expect to see more and more MIDs and UMPCs pop up in the future utilizing this.
