iPhone USB Tethering

Tethering is one of the more interesting aspects of mobile phones these days. Despite carriers charging more for the service, it’s still a very useful thing to have. iPhone owners have probably been screaming for the feature for almost as long as the “copy/paste” complaint has been around. Now a developer who has been going through the iPhone 3.0 seems to have stumbled upon the gem which is a tethering setting within the iPhone 3.0 software. He even managed to tether his iPhone 3G to his laptop via USB, and if you check out the preference panel, it indicates that we’ll be able to tether the iPhone via Bluetooth as well. Apple has admitted that they built in tethering support for the 3.0 release, but have not coordinated it with mobile carriers yet. From Uberphones.
