iPod touch Explodes In Pocket

A kid from Kentucky got the shock of his life when his iPod touch actually exploded in his pants pocket. This has caused his mom to file a suit against Apple as well as the retail workers who sold the device. The suit stated that the on/off control was in the “off” position, but the kid “heard a loud pop and immediately felt a burning sensation on his leg.” And to think the kid didn’t even need to tell a lie at that point in time when his pants caught fire, resulting in second-degree burns on his leg. We wonder whether this will result in the kid being phobic of all portable media players in the future, or will he settle for a Zune instead?
