
Lenovo, being a Chinese company, will naturally look after its own market by unveiling the X1 triband EDGE handset there. This is a slider phone, but sadly the whole thing looks like a farce with buttons that seem to hail from cell phones that were released a decade ago in their full plastic glory. Lenovo has christened the user interface as “Touch Dream” which sounds too close for comfort when compared with other HTC devices. No idea if this will catch on domestically in that part of the world, but we’re sure the rest of the planet won’t mind not having the Lenovo X1 released in their home country.
