Microsoft Kills Off Encarta

Microsoft Encarta – mentioning that sure brings about memories of encyclopedias that come on CD-ROMs many years back, but time and technology has allowed Microsoft to evolve the Encarta platform into one that is Web-based. Bad news for folks who rely on that treasure trove of information, as this is what Microsoft has to say about the MSN Encarta Web site, “Encarta has been a popular product around the world for many years. However, the category of traditional encyclopedias and reference material has changed. People today seek and consume information in considerably different ways than in years past.” Well, no biggie here as there is always Wikipedia (although not all information there is 100% gospel truth). What type of online or electronic references do you use?
