NVIDIA just announced that it has drivers for Windows 7 Beta. While you have not heard much about it, Windows 7 will likely be the first Windows operating system that comes with GPU computing embedded at its core. For NVIDIA, this is huge as this not only validates the GPU computing path that the company has taken for the past years, but it will provide developers enough confidence to invest in this new computing platform. Users will benefit from a better GPU compute integration and from a larger choice of applications.
That’s a hypothetical future. Today’s news is: get your driver at nvidia.com
