Check out this OLED windshield concept – it covers both front and rear displays and are extremely customizable, allowing you to air your views (such as supporting your local favorite sports team) or a message that you want to share with the world. Should such windshield concepts become reality, how are we to regulate messages that appear on them? Will they prove to be more of a distraction to road users who are more interested in reading what’s stated on the car (be it front or behind) instead of keeping a safe distance? A commercial release could be ready sometime within two to three years, depending on whether a manufacturer wants to pick it up or not.
