
The lifespan for Blue OLED has been improved by 25%, that’s what the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory has announced. If you don’t know, OLED display use red, green and blue OLED lights. Currently, the blue one tends to deteriorate faster than the two others, leading to a shift in color overtime, which is a major problem. That effectively limits the lifespan of the display.
OLED is basically “plastic” that can emit lights. It is the greatest hope for the future of displays, but it can also be used for lighting purposes.
