The Amazon Kindle 2 might have been out for just a short while, but that doesn’t mean it won’t have any competitors. The Onyx Boox is here to grab a share of the Kindle 2′s market, featuring a 6″ 16 shades of gray display in addition to touchscreen capability as it has sacrificed a bunch of dedicated keys and controls to make the Boox look sleek. In addition to Wi-Fi connectivity, you will also get 512MB of internal memory and support for PDF, HTML, TXT, MOBI, JPG, BMP and MP3 formats among others. In addition, you will also get text-to-speech functionality for those who want to give their eyes a break when reading long passages. There is no word on pricing or availability at the moment, but watch this space as it is released at CeBIT.
