Opera Targets The US

Europe’s most popular web browsers at this point in time are the Opera Mini and Opera Mobile, and the company aims to serve the interests of folks living across the pond as well. Forbes claims that the Norway-based software developer intends to make a splash at the upcoming CTIA Wireless 2009 event this April at Las Vegas, and these will include several major deals with North American carriers. The names of the carriers are not revealed at this point in time, but we’re probably looking at the usual suspects including AT&T, Verizon, Sprint or T-Mobile.Do you think US carriers will pre-load one of Opera’s mobile browsers on their handsets by then? Not that we’ll complain if they do though.
