Hard to believe, yes, but anything’s possible in this day and age. Somebody has already gotten whiff of a new Sony patent application that details a variety of wireless input devices that is able to control a PS2 console that will improve on current Wiimote technology by featuring much smaller motion sensors that are worn directly on your fingers. Why the PS2, you ask? Well, that’s what it looks like in the diagram above, but hopefully this is just for illustration purposes only and the final product would also be available on the PS3. Keep your fingers crossed that this patent could make it to the manufacturing line one of these days. Guess the SIXAXIS isn’t so hot after all.
