Sony hopes to provide a nice kick in the ass for its PSP PSN download service by including non-PlayStation console titles as well into the digital catalog. According to SCEA’s John Koller, “In general, there’s a lot of discussion about [publishers'] back catalogs that will finally find its way to PlayStation Network in the back half of this year.” Guess this would mean a whole lot more PSOne titles for those who want to relive the past glory days where Sony came up from console obscurity. We are interested to see whether this method of digital distribution would make more sense in the whole “drop UMD” issue.
