If you can’t live without podcasts and have a podcast session of your own, chances are you might want to check out what the RØDE Podcaster is all about. This is actually a shockproof capsule mount that carries a “broadcast quality” cardioid USB microphone within, alongside a 3.5mm stereo headphone output that is integrated into the microphone body accompanied by a volume control for easy access to all features. Nice to see the manufacturer throw in a 3 meter USB cable for that added length, where all you need to do is plug it into your Mac or PC and you’re good to go. The RØDE Podcaster will retail for $229 a pop.
