Samsung has quietly gone about with the launch of its 8GB and 16GB YP-Q2 portable media player, and when one takes a closer look at the specifications, there isn’t really anything special about the YP-Q2. After all, it seems to be just like the S3 unit, albeit with a higher storage capacity and a 2.4″ QVGA display. Battery life for audio playback supposedly stands at 50 hours, but we’ll take that claim with a grain of salt until independently tested figures start to trickle in. Would you settle for a non-iPod portable media player?
