The Samsung NX Series’s goal is to bring DSLR image quality into the Point and Shoot market. To do that, it uses an APS-C sensor format, also found in DSLR cameras like the Nikon D70. With such a sensor, it is much harder to create a pocket-sized camera, but Samsung did its best at reducing the overall bulk, again, compared to a DSLR. The Lens itself is much shorter and the distance between the lens and the sensor is 60% shorter too. We would love to snap picture of the Samsung NX side by side with a Canon Rebel XS.
