CES 2009 saw the announcement of what was actually the thinnest Blu-ray player in the market from Samsung, but we guess it finally took at least a couple of months before those announcements were made reality – as in arriving on store shelves at a good electronics store near you. While both the BD-P3600 and BD-P1600 are already readily available, retailing for $399.99 and $299.99, respectively, the super slim BD-P4600 that everyone and their grandmother are looking forward to will only be able to bring one home when April rolls around, retailing for up to $499.99 a pop. Hmmm, that actually makes a PS3 a whole lot more tempting, never mind the fact that it lags badly behind in the current gen console sales. Image courtesy of Engadget. [Press Release]
