While Skype for both the iPhone and iPod touch was released today over the iTunes store, this application has already received more than a thousand reviews with a relatively poor average rating. Most of these user reviews were negative in nature, where complaints include the application being “buggy” in addition to crashes that occur within 30 to 60 seconds of starting. Even the usual soft reset of the handset failed to address these problems, and most people are already looking forward to the next update before giving another go at a software that offers VoIP capabilities to respective Wi-Fi-enabled devices.
