Sprint is pretty busy today, introducing a couple of messaging phones that will be released later this spring – the Sanyo SCP-2700 and the dark red version of the LG Lotus which has already seen action in retail stores. The former is a candybar handset that aims to present an easy-to-use package in a stylish form factor, featuring a full QWERTY keyboard, Sprint Navigator, Sprint Mobile Email Work and Sprint Family Locator services, Bluetooth connectivity, a 2.2″ TFT display, a 1.3 megapixel camera and 1xRTT connectivity. It will be out this May and come in blue and pink colors, retailing for $29.99 with a 2-year contract and $50 mail-in rebate. As for the dark red LG Lotus, you can expect this to retail for the same since the only change is its color.
