Touchscreen Installation For Netbooks

Want a touchscreen display for your netbook, but disappointed that hardly any netbook manufacturers come up with something like it? All hail FidoHub who has come up with some rather detailed installation instructions on doing so, with the Asus Eee PC 1000HE netbook being the guinea pig of choice. FidoHub touch panel kits generally retail for $60 and $90, depending on what kind of netbook you’re using at this moment. What makes this upgrade kit nice is they’re designed for easy installation without any need for a soldering iron. Of course, the installation process will void your warranty since you’ll need to dissect your netbook and remove the screen, but hey – that’s a pretty small price to pay to join the cool crowd, no?
