Transcend Portable SSD18M

Transcend has a spanking new 1.8” portable SSD18M that offers users the option of having both eSATA and USB connection interfaces with a maximum capacity of 128GB. The high-speed eSATA interface will offer a (theoretical figure only – real world usage differs greatly) maximum read speed of 90MB/s and write speed of 50MB/s. When hooked up via USB 2.0, it will adhere to that standard which will be slower that eSATA, although there will be maximum compatibility by nature of its connection. On the outside you will find tSSD18M covered in chic gloss diamond pattern fascia for those who want a little bit of fashion in their tech. The SSD18M measures a mere 80mm x 50mm x 12.5mm and tips the scales at just 50 grams, and will come in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB capacities.
