Acer To Release Android Phone Before 2009 Is Over

Acer can’t wait to release the first of their many planned Android-powered smartphones before the year is over, which will accompany another 10 Windows Mobile-based phones that will be out in the remaining 8 months or so as well. It remains to be seen which platform will Acer stick to in the long run, as the computer vendor hopes to become one of the top 5 handset vendors in the world by 2012 so it is important that they come up with a winning combination of both hardware (not so much though) and software (this is more crucial as value is in the software alongside a reliable and easy user experience). Good luck to Acer and their efforts – we hope this form of healthy competition will work in the best interests of consumers.
