
Just when we were singing praises of Amazon for keeping the price of their MP3s under the $1 mark when Apple introduced variable pricing to their tunes, our hopes were dashed with news of Amazon doing the same 24 hours later, meeting the $1.29 price point found on iTunes where tracks by popular artists are concerned. Walmart, however, will charge $1.24 for selected titles, although bottom feeders can still pick up less popular songs for $0.79 and $0.64 on Amazon and Walmart, respectively.
