
Apple has purportedly placed orders of up to 100 million 8Gb NAND flash chips, with the bulk of them coming from Samsung Electronics, inadvertently causing a supply shortage for the rest of the world in a process. In addition, both Nokia and Sony are also building up their NAND flash inventories, further reducing supply to the masses. Where do you think all these NAND flash memory are going – a brand new iPhone? We can only sit down and wait for Apple to amaze us with their next release.
