Atomic Clock Runs For 300 Million Years

This is truly one timepiece that can be purchased and left on its own without having to adjust the time – at least for the next 300 million years, long enough for the world to self-destruct due to man’s inability to get along with each other. This new atomic clock was realized thanks to a bunch of physicists in the US who managed to figure out the way to manage what was thought to be unavoidable “forbidden” collisions between neutral strontium atoms, resulting in a timekeeper that does not lose nor gain a second in 300 million years.
