Guess rumor has made the leap to fact with word from a BlackBerry spokesperson in Netherlands, Alain Segon de Banchet, who has confirmed the existence of this device. What you see here is not the real thing, but is a mockup of the BlackBerry QWERTY slider that was initially described in the RIM patent application over a year ago. The BlackBerry Storm 2 will be available in the market later this year or early the next, and will not feature carrier exclusivity in Netherlands. In addition, it will weed out the weaknesses of the original Storm in terms of typing – could we be looking at the possibility of a slide out QWERTY keyboard and a full touchscreen display?
