Book Time Robot From Japan

What you see here is the Book Time, a robot that was developed in Japan by Electric Machine Works. This invention picked up the Robot of the Year award for last year under the Medium category, and has found its niche in old age homes as well as public reading libraries where it comes in handy to serve older patrons so that they can read through newspapers and heavy books in a cinch. We wonder whether such automatic page turners will ever make its way to the mainstream market – after all, aren’t we humans getting lazier and lazier with each new invention in the name of efficiency?
