Nice to know that being in a family has benefits, as with the case of the Asus Eee PC 1000H and 1000HE that are able to share the same keyboard. The Eee PC 1000HE’s battery seems to be able to work just fine on the older version despite Asus not selling replacement 8700mAh batteries yet. It seems that the Eee PC 1000HE keyboard is also compatible with the Eee PC 1000H just in case either one netbook’s keyboards are broken or spoilt. The replacement keyboard retails for just $15 from Asus, and it involves a simple process of swapping it out to get you up and running once again. Bear in mind this compatibility test was done by Eee PC fans and not officially sanctioned by Asus.
