
Thanks to their friendly design and ease of use, Flip cameras have taken a good chuck of this casual video market. The new models of this franchise bring a larger, higher-resolution 2″ display (versus 1.5) more memory (up to 8GB) as common improvements. The Ultra HD even has an HDMI port now. That said, both cameras are also bigger than their predecessors and twice as heavy (6oz versus 3.3).
As usual, don’t expect any image quality miracles with these camcorders. Their size pretty much prevent them from ever having great optical properties. ($150 to $200)
