Garmin Nuvi 1490T Announced

Garmin decided to update its nüvi GPS device range with its latest high end model – the 1490T. This is one behemoth (at least by Garmin standards) as it comes with the following :-

  • 5″ touchscreen display
  • Pedestrian GPS mode
  • Free lifetime traffic updates (we like!)
  • Multi-route prediction with lane guidance
  • ecoRoutes for fuel-efficient journeys
  • Bluetooth connectivity

You can pick up the Garmin nuvi 1490T this July for $500 a pop, while those who tend to make their way around cities and towns on foot might want to pony up another $15 or so for CityXplorer maps that offer improved detail when on foot.
