Garmin decided to update its nüvi GPS device range with its latest high end model – the 1490T. This is one behemoth (at least by Garmin standards) as it comes with the following :-
- 5″ touchscreen display
- Pedestrian GPS mode
- Free lifetime traffic updates (we like!)
- Multi-route prediction with lane guidance
- ecoRoutes for fuel-efficient journeys
- Bluetooth connectivity
You can pick up the Garmin nuvi 1490T this July for $500 a pop, while those who tend to make their way around cities and towns on foot might want to pony up another $15 or so for CityXplorer maps that offer improved detail when on foot.
