Golf Cart Powered By Cow Dung

Some of us might find manure of virtually any animal to be a revolting thought, but bright boffins at Yamaha have managed to figure out yet another way to make full use of cow dung – by turning it into biomethane so that the gas extracted can be used to power a golf cart. This low cost method involves storing methane generated from cow dung in a specially constructed tank filled with activated carbon so that all the methane is absorbed at relatively low pressure. This is one locally produced, low-cost biofuel that could change the way the world operates in the future, especially numerous golf courses around the world.
