The brand new HP ProBook S Series, which ships today, comes in 3 formats: 14″, 15.6″ and 17.3″. Overall, this series has been designed to bring performance and value to HP’s customers and value often means finding the right compromises, like using less expensive materials without making it too noticeable. HP did fairly well with the ProBook. We particularely like the large, desktop-like, keyboard on the 17″ model.
As for the inside, users will have some choices: Intel or AMD, DVD or Blu-Ray, Windows or Linux. Yes, you read that right. Linux is one of the O.S options for these computers. Available in two colors (black and merlot), the ProBook Series S will start at $529. HP website
