
We previously mentioned an upcoming iPhone 3.0 voice command/recognition functionality, but it is now reported that iPhone will also offer voice synthesis so that you can keep an eye one something else (the road, may be?). According to Ars Technica, the codename for the voice control feature is “Jibbler”. Jibbler is activated by voice (microphone or BT headset) and can trigger an app launch or run a Spotlight search.
We wonder if this will spawn applications to help people with motion disabilities to use the iPhone.
