This child-robot has been talked about before. What’s new is the footage of the robot in action. If you missed it this is CB2, the “Child Robot with Biomimetic Body” from the Osaka University. By interacting with humans, the robot is supposed to develop social skills by imitating the facial expressions, for example. The robot has an array of sensors that can process auditory, tactile or visual feedback. There’s one video below and another one with more technical details here.
