Kinstone has an UMPC of its own for the masses, the KS-UMD070VB which was unveiled at the Hong Kong Electric Fair. You will find pretty spartan specifications in there, although they’re enough for some basic computing tasks such as handling email as well as a productivity software or two running in the background. Specifications of the KS-UMD070VB include :-
- 7″ TFT touchscreen display
- VIA C7-M 1.2GHz processor
- Windows XP or Linux OS
- 2GB RAM
- 30GB hard drive
- SD/MMC memory card slot
- Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity
No idea on how much this would cost, but being 7″ small without an actual keyboard of sorts? It sounds like a painful device to use when you’re supposed to hand over a 10,000 word report by tomorrow morning.
