Maximum PC Multitouch Table PC

Maximum PC decided it wasn’t worth forking out $12,000 for Microsoft’s Surface, so they took the next best route – making one of their own without spending an insane amount of money in the process. Maximum PC managed to build their own multitouch table PC by using an array of infrared LEDs located around the table, while the innards of a PS3 Eye camera also contributed to the cause. This crude setup also consists of a projector and some acrylic used for the multitouch setup – of course, there is the need for a homemade wood cabinet and an old computer, costing $350 in total while more or less offer a similar Surface experience. It took a total of two weeks to complete this project, and we can safely say this is not for the layman to attempt.
