Times are getting more and more interesting, as we have word that Microsoft has already started work on Windows 8, the next version of Windows 7. This was revealed by a post on the company’s careers site, citing the position for a Lead Software Development Engineer in Test who will “work on the existing projects for 7, such as cluster support and reworking the core engine. We will also soon be starting major improvements for Windows 8.” We wonder whether this new operating system will truly be able to revolutionize file access in branch offices as it was originally set up to do so.
