
Microsoft has decided to block Linux’s attempts at all costs by completely dominating the world of netbooks, offering Windows XP to such systems for less than $15 a copy – according to an unnamed source. While Microsoft has yet to publicly disclosed its pricing for netbook licenses, this could very well be the actual figure since the Wall Street Journal even has word of XP Home for netbooks going for 33% the price of Windows Vista for a typical notebook, that in turn, retail for around $50 to $60 in large batches.
