Remember the Nabaztag, a Wi-Fi-enabled rabbit toy? Well, the very same brains behind the Nabaztag have just released the Mirror by Violet, which is one of the more creative RFID gadgets available on the market at the moment. This device will hook up to a PC or Mac, where it will then proceed to read the RFID tag within (known as Ztamps) that you can stick to an object of your choice. Doing so provides you with the freedom to assign various actions and tasks on your computer to various objects, and there is virtually no ceiling placed on the number of association with objects. Imagine placing an umbrella on the Mirror, where you’ll instantly receive the weather forecast for the day, while waving your car keys over it could send an email to selected addresses that you’re about to leave the home at that moment. Each Mirror will be accompanied by three Ztamps RFID tags in random colors, a couple of programmable Nano:ztag Micro-Rabbits and a quick start guide that will retail for $59.99.
