Mophie has just debuted its latest peripheral for the iPhone 3G – the Juice Pack Air that is touted to be the thinnest Apple-certified external battery in the world for that handset. This 1200 mAh battery has been integrated into an extremely slim case and is now available for sale worldwide for $79.95 at both brick-and-mortar stores as well as at Apple.com. Unfortunately, the number of colors one can choose from is rather limited, as it comes in just black, white and purple. The Juice Pack Air is different as it comes with a standby mode that lets users control when they want to make use of the spare battery or just leave it being a protective case instead. It comes with an integrated 4 LED charge status to let one know just how much juice is left in the external battery, offering up to 270 hours of standby time, 20 hours of audio playback and 6 hours of video playback. Looks (and sounds) like the perfect accessory for frequent travelers.
