Word is out that the Motorola Calgary will be the first Android-powered smartphone from Motorola, and it looks as though it will come with a slider QWERTY keyboard. Hopefully the Calgary will do its part in pulling the big M back from the brink, since it does not have a very good track record when it comes to previous phone releases over the past couple of years or so. Unfortunately, not all is hunky-dory with Motorola as both the Flash and Inferno handsets have been cancelled. We mourn particularly for the latter since it has a fantastic design that could’ve revived interest in handsets from Motorola like the Razr did so many years ago.
