Nikon D5000 Is Official

Guess the rumors of the Nikon D5000 have become fact, and here is a quick summary of what the $850 DSLR offers the moment you remove it from the box.

• 100 to 6400 expanded ISO range
• 2.7″ vari-angle display
• Four Live View autofocus modes

720p video recording on the go is nice and all, but at this point in time, it would be a technological triumph to come out with a model that not only shoots great stills, but is able to record in full High Definition as well at a decent frame rate. Something like that will definitely cost upwards of $1,000.
