According to rumors in Taiwan, OmniVision will produce a 3.2Megapixel CMOS image (CIS) sensor the next generation iPhone. “Market sources” also mention a 5 Megapixel CIS contract for another Apple product – to be launched at the end of 2009. The story mentions that STMicroelectronics and Aptina Imaging were also in the race to obtain the contract. Next time, may be.
