It is always fun to guess how much manufacturers pay to build handsets and iSupply is the best guess in town. The site put the material cost (cost of the components) for the Palm Pre at $138 and one would have to add assembling, packaging, marketing and obviously design to the overall cost of the product. The display is expected to have the highest cost, at $39.51 the processor costs $11 and the memory $15.96. Remember, this is a “best guess”.
