Panasonic is currently working on a new 37″ OLED TV that could be out anywhere from 18 months to 2 years’ time, as the company is currently researching HD OLED TVs. This news comes across as a surprise since as recently as CES 2009, Panasonic did not even drop a hint of an OLED TV, mainly due to the prohibitive production costs as well as lifespan. Well, those reasons don’t seem to stop Panasonic now that they are enlisting the help of Pioneer engineers in order to prolong the OLED display’s lifespan from 30,000 hours to 50,000 hours.
