Just how much does the underground economy cost when it comes to the iPhone? Quite a bunch, we suspect, judging by how folks who develop applications for jailbroken iPhones are squabbling to be the top earner in this market. Among these names include Installous, Hackulous and Mega who are currently having some mud-wrestling sessions among each other. For example, Hackulous came up with a free app that enables one to download pirated iPhone apps, while Mega released a similar service with a subscription fee model – $9.99 monthly, $23.99 for each quarter or $41.99 for half-yearly. The folks at Hackulous were not happy with this due to the charges involved, and in turn released Grabulous that allows free access to all Mega apps. Sorta like a beef that benefits owners of jailbroken iPhones, eh?
