Samsung i7500 Could Be First Android Samsung Phone

Samsung’s i7500 look set to be the first Android-powered cell phone from the Korean consumer electronics giant, and word has it the Samsung i7500 will debut in Germany sometime this June on an exclusive agreement with O2. Since it is a fully touchscreen-capable device, that means you won’t get a keypad/keyboard of sorts, and it is rumored to feature the following as well :-

  • Android 1.5 operating system
  • Quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity
  • Dual band UMTS/HSPA connectivity
  • 3.2″ capacitive touchscreen display with HVGA (480 x 320) resolution
  • GPS navigation
  • Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity
  • 5-megapixel camera with LED flash
  • 3.5mm headset jack
  • 528MHz Qualcomm MSM7200A processor
  • 8GB internal memory
  • microSD memory card slot

Surprisingly, the same source of rumors also point towards a price point of approximately €300 for the i7500, which frankly, isn’t too expensive considering what you’re getting if the above turns out to be true.
