Sanyo has come up with a very short throw projector powered by a laser. The net result is a superb brightness of 7000 lumens (most consumers projectors are 1000-2000 lumens bright), which should be enough to provide a good image, even in a lit room – that’s the usual weakness of projectors. The image can be as big as 100″. The downside is quite visible: look at the monster. We don’t have the price, but we’re certain that it’ll be painful.
