Sixth Sense Wearable Computer

Wearable computers could be the way of the future if technology advances to such a level where they’re powerful enough to perform all our productivity needs, but until then they remain a pipe dream. Postdoctoral student from the MIT, Pranav Mistry, has dubbed his latest wearable computer the Sixth Sense – wearing this won’t make you see dead people, but it will show you information from the Internet or relevant database concerning an object that the Sixth Sense points at, thanks to an integrated webcam. It has to remain plugged to an Internet-enabled cell phone in order for it to work, and right now it is extremely ungainly with a battery pack hanging around your neck with the total component layout tallying at $350.
