We’re still waiting for a definitive Android-powered netbook but have been disappointed so far, so hopefully SkyTone of China will be able to soothe our appetites with the Alpha 680 Android-powered netbook that comes with the following (rather disappointing specifications, we might add) :-
- 7″ touchscreen display at 800 × 480 resolution
- 128MB RAM
- 1GB NAND flash memory
- ARM 11 533MHz 32-bit processor
- Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity
- 3G support
- SD memory card slot and USB ports
Guess the lack of processing power is due to the fact you won’t need it since you’ll be running Android and not Windows. The $100 price tag also makes it all the more tempting, where you can choose from pink, yellow, red, black and white colors.
