Solar Powered Mobile Computer Classroom

Solar panels are still far from being efficient in their work, but they’ve come far enough to be able to power computers in a mobile classrom, and that’s to say a whole lot. Apparently, a modified SUV with solar panels attached to its roof will be used to generate power for a mobile computer classroom, offering computer training to 100 students each day in Uganda. The Maendeleo Foundation is the brains behind the Mobile Solar Computer Classrooms (MSCC) initiative, where they ultimately hope to see a thriving local computer services industry grow in the country so that new jobs can be created while boosting the local economy and getting their people out of the poverty cycle.
